Clement Lenglet can breath easy. The player, according to ‘Marca’, received the call from Barca. The club wanted to make clear that they are counting on him for next season.
At the Camp Nou they are now thinking about the summer transfer window. There are certain priorities for Barca. And in order to sign players, they need to let some leave.
In the latest months, there has been speculation over the possibility of Lenglet being sold as part of a deal to buy players like Neymar and Pjanic. That could not be further from the truth or that is what the club say.
According to ‘Marca’, Barca have reassured Lenglet. They have told the Frenchman that they count on him for the 2020-21 campaign.
Lenglet is delighted at Barca and his plan is to stay. He is aware that with Setien, he is no longer a nailed on starter, but he is willing to show that he deserves a place in the Barca XI.
Barcelona’s plan, the previously cited source says, is to keep the three central defenders they have: Pique, Lenglet and Umtiti. As well as these they have Araujo from the B team.
